In order to make a healthy bacon sandwich you need: turkey bacon (x3), wholemeal bread (x2) and mushrooms (1cup). All you do is grill the turkey for the recommended time, toast the bread and fry in the mushrooms in low fat cooking spray. The mushrooms give more taste to the sandwich making it taste better and a lot more like bacon. The whole sandwich comes in at: 300 calories. I found this recipe on Tipmine.com.

    This.
Turkey bacon can have more fat and sodium than real bacon.
Also, pretty sure this can't beat a good BLT.

I didn't like the texture of turkey bacon but it still sounds good.

I used to use turkey bacon all the time but then I realized that I can get Center Cut real bacon for 70 calories for 2 slices! I'll stick to the real stuff :)

As someone in food business, please read labels and don't just assume a touted protein is always healthier or better for you. For example, the turkey burger used by both O'Charley's and Red Robbin has over 30% fat(ground up skin) in it. Product is made by Jennie-O(Hormel) so need to check labels on all of their product. Products such as those found at Costco(Kirkland Signature) is a very healthy lean product. Kroger turkey burger is also fairly healthy

Calling any sandwich that contains processed meat "healthy" is a stretch.
