Remedies for stomach bloating?

Wasn't sure exactly where to post this, but..
Anyone have any remedies/tips for bloating? Like, exercises, drinks, foods, stretches, so on. I have had a lot of gastrointestinal issues, since I was 5-6 years old. Random flares of excruciating pain, weeks where I couldn't eat, times when it was unbearable, test after test, too many to name off. They still aren't exactly sure what's wrong, but bloat is something that's bothered me a fair amount. If I eat a little more than I should (not if I stuff myself, I mean if I usually eat 1 apple, and one day eat an apple and a half) or some days even if I don't overeat, some days I get bloated with 2 spoonfuls of yogurt. Either way, as most know, it's very uncomfortable, and makes simple things like, you know, buttoning pants, difficult.
I don't drink soda, I have Celiac's Disease and IBS, Gastric Ulcers and God knows what else, so I am in the process of going totally gluten free (finding my way around it). I am on antacids and a stomach relaxer/pain medicine. I've had issues with constipation, usually it isn't severe though, it's been since kindergarten. With all that out of the way, just looking for any tips anybody might have to relieve it. I hate getting the horrid over-eating feeling when I've only had 1 apple slice, lol.

Get checked for allergies to apples. My friend has an apple allergy and describes similar symptoms.
Also take a regular probiotic. Best thing for me and I give it to my kids too.

I know it seems counter intuitive, but more water always helps me when bloated.0

Ripe papaya is also a great natural laxative. I ate it regularly during my pregnancy which kept things moving along nicely.0

Magnesium citrate powder can help with sleeping AND constipation.0

I had bloating from celiac disease too. Be patient. Going GF is not a quick fix. Sure, some symptoms will improve within days or weeks, but many more symptoms take months or years to get better. I can honestly say that it took over two years to recover, although most symptoms were vastly improved after 6 months.
Constipation did not improve for me until I started treatment for hypothyroidism, and only after I started taking some T3 ( usually only T4 is offered). Hypothyroidism is very common among celiacs, could that be it?
Also, switching my diet to high fat, low carb helped. I used to take huge amounts of extra fibre, various types, to try to help with constipation. It did almost nothing. I switched to LcHF diet and the problem was solved. Fats lubricate and get things going; lower carbs and fibre removes a lot of unneeded bulk too.

Green leafy vegetables. Swiss chard is an excellent source of magnesium but not sure "God knows what else" is something this may help. Good luck .0

Sounds familiar! I had those problems and we discovered I have SIBO........Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth. Just Google SIBO and you'll find information if you've never heard of it. I also have Gastroparesis (stomach paralysis). When I started eating for these two conditions, I improved tremendously. There are two books that have really helped me. FAST TRACT DIGESTION IBS by Norman Robillard and A NEW IBS SOLUTION by Mark Pimentel. You can order them from Amazon in paper format or download to Kindle. Both books deal with SIBO. I take a probiotic every day with 20 million active cultures. It's made a WORLD of difference in my digestive system. All I take is 2 capsules every morning and it's helped tremendously.0

Magnesium citrate twice a day will take care of constipation. Take one each Enzymedica Digest Gold capsule three times daily with each main meal. Whala, you be cured!!!0

I am. There are times when I eat something and didn't know it had gluten in it. I am in the process of buying a new toaster so it doesn't get traces of gluten on it. Same for my coffee maker, and cleaning my oven and stove and re-stocking my entire house. But it is very difficult to do with no money to use and nobody to point me in the correct direction. I never intentionally eat gluten. I want to heal and feel better. I have gone through severe pain for years among years, it ruined my childhood. I would not do that to myself intentionally despite what most people generally assume.0 -

"God knows what else" refers to the remaining mystery of stomach issues I have. Such as the issues with my gallbladder that the ultra sound, CT scan, HIDA scan, blood tests and so on can not exactly figure out, and the reason for the severe pain that the biopsies/results from my duodenoscopy didn't bring light to.

Thank you so much to everyone who offered helpful advice, it means a lot. Stomach problems are a journey in itself to figure out. Every new food I put into my mouth scares me. Resulting to not eating anywhere but at home, if I eat at all due to fear of pain. Severe bloating comes with that pain, which is also a great maker for being self-conscious of my rock hard gut that makes me have to wear my special stretchy pants everywhere and the breathe in-painfilled-sigh when I sit, stand, bend over, move, walk, and so on from pain (..funny but not lol).

I am. There are times when I eat something and didn't know it had gluten in it. I am in the process of buying a new toaster so it doesn't get traces of gluten on it. Same for my coffee maker, and cleaning my oven and stove and re-stocking my entire house. But it is very difficult to do with no money to use and nobody to point me in the correct direction. I never intentionally eat gluten. I want to heal and feel better. I have gone through severe pain for years among years, it ruined my childhood. I would not do that to myself intentionally despite what most people generally assume.
In the meantime, line your toaster with tin foil or don't use it. A contaminated toaster is enough to set a celiac or someone with NCGS, back days or weeks. Don't risk it.0 -
SIBO is a good place to begin. Also, Fructose Malabsorption (a condition I have and my sister too) could be a player. Since an apple slice affects you it makes me wonder if this may be a part of your issues. It goes beyond a low FODMAP diet in treatment. MONASH UNIVERSITY in Australia is the best source if you are inclined to check it out. I feel like I have a new life! It has been 3 years since my diagnosis.0

Fennel Seed and Peppermint tea help me tremendously!! I am GF and Lactose Free and something seems to sneek in that I am not aware of or that I did not know bothered me (some veggies usually). These two things do a lot to recover much more quickly. I always have fennel seed on hand to munch on.0

Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth. Huh. Mom's been dealing with stomach pain. Has had a CT scan and will be getting another test in two weeks. Her primary wants her to see a GI specialist. She has IBS. I see that Some studies reported up to 80% of patients with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) have SIBO (using the hydrogen breath test).0 -

What does your dr say? If you have already a diagnosis, and if things have gotten as bad as you getting ulcers, this is no longer a question for the internet, it is a question for your dr. If you have a diagnosis, I am guessing you have been seen by a gastroenterologist. What did he recommend? Ulcers usually are painful and require medication, not just diet changes. I mean to actually treat the cause, not just pain relief meds.0 -
I'm no doctor or nutrionist but I've found that drinking Aloe Vera Juice once or twice every other day helps TREMENDOUSLY with regards to bloating and constipation. The brand I use is Lily of the Dessert and mix it with a glass of water.
PS - The taste is quite bitter at first but I've actually grown to like it.
