Accuracy?

The elliptical I use at the gym lets you put in your weight and age, and at the end of my 45 minute workout (where I do intervals of incline and resistance) it says I burn around 420 calories. MFP's elliptical tracker says I burn about 380. Do you think my elliptical machine is more accurate because it can *kitten* how fast/what resistance I am on? I'd love to hear your feedback

I wouldn't believe either of them. After I started wearing a Polar watch w/HR monitor I found the machines were over-estimating my calorie burn.0

We always want to be as accurate as possible but in the end the difference you were referring to was only a 40 cal spread. You could just split it. Still, once you can get a device to better track this your estimates will become even more accurate. Good luck!0
