Turkey, turkey...oh and more spare turkey...?

Hi,
I bought way to much turkey now family have gone back to there home I have still loads of turkey. Ive never made any turkey meals before anyone have any good recipes?
Also I bought a slowpot, would love to try it out.

    My family always makes a few sandwiches but the rest goes into an "a la King", soup or gumbo. You could use it in any recipe that calls for cooked chicken. Here is the recipe my family uses for turkey or chicken a la king.

    Yup anything you'd normally put chicken in. We do curry, tortilla soup, sandwiches, pulled turkey, etc.

    We make sandwiches on Boxing Day, then a curry or a pie with our leftovers usually. Tonight we're having turkey madras.

    The cat helps polish off a bit too.

    Use it in any recipe where you would use chicken. Use on sandwiches, wraps, salads, soups, casseroles.
    If you do an internet search for turkey or Thanksgiving leftovers you will get plenty of ideas.
    Put it in your freezer for another meal in the future. I had enough turkey leftover from Thanksgiving for our Christmas meal so just had to thaw and warm it up.

    Turkey (and cranberry sauce, stuffing, bread sauce) in a sandwich. I also love turkey soup - make stock from the turkey carcass, then add leftover turkey, sliced leeks and rice (or wild rice mixed with rice) and simmer until the rice is cooked, season with lots of black pepper.

    My family usually makes a turkey hash. Oh so yummy.
    We had a ham this year. I'm going to use the leftovers in a split pea soup.

    My Mum has sliced hers up and put it in the freezer. It keeps for about 2 months apparently, and she'll be making sandwiches and wraps throughout January with them. It's not particularly exciting but it works well!

    I cut it up in bite size pieces, freeze in containers to be used for a stir fry.

    We only do turkey for thanksgiving and a 20lb prim rib for Christmas. I now have about 8lbs of prime rib in my fridge!

    When we have left over turkey I end up shredding as much as I can and freezing it in separate baggies. When I want to slow cook a soup I will use turkey instead of buying extra chicken.

    For the turkey I keep left out you can pretty much use it in anything you would normally put chicken in. Make some white rice, a nice white sauce (like a gravy I guess) and throw some of the shredded turkey into a skillet with onions and mushrooms. Once the onions and muchrooms are cooked to your liking mix it with the sauce/gravy and serve over the rice!

    If you have mashed potatoes leftover too and feel like being a little (lot) on the unhealthy side (or have a SO at home who like fried foods) mix the turkey into the mashed potatoes with an egg and some cheddar cheese. Separate into patties and fry. :)

    Or wild rice soup with turkey!

    After all the sweets and high cal foods over the holidays, I was craving veggies something fierce. I made a Turkey Veggie soup with onions, carrots, celery, green beans, red potatoes, peas, corn, and kale. Added in a can of diced, no-salt-added tomatoes and a can of green chiles. I used fresh thyme and italian parsley, cracked pepper and a couple other spices; you could use whatever your heart desires. I also used low-sodium organic vegetable broth. It keeps really well in the freezer and it's packed with protein. You could definitely use your slow cooker for this, too!

    This year, after Thanksgiving, I made soup out of the carcass and turkey pot pie with a stuffing crust with the remaining meat. I didn't have the pot pie but my husband loved it...So much so that he want's me to make turkey all the time now.

    Some of my favorite leftover chicken recipes work for turkey. I prefer recipes that don't require reheating as leftover turkey can get dry.

    Dead easy salad (leftover turkey, an avocado and a jar of salsa), skip the tortilla chips if you are watching calories
