I'm always uncertain to log my "new weight " into my fitness pal because I have different weights through the day this morning I weighed myself and I weighed 169.9 now I never weighed in the 160's so I don't know if I should log that in as my new weight since I will probably weigh 172 again this afternoon??? What should I do

In the morning, after the toilet before you eat or drink0

First thing in the morning, right after you use the toilet, either naked or with the same amount of clothes every time.
Weighing any other time has too many variables, such as how much you've eaten and drunk so far throughout the day.0 -
Great thanks so much0

I feel heavy in the morning so I usually wait a few hours.0

If you want consistent data, you want to reduce as many variables as possible. Weighing first thing in the morning after the toilet visit and before eating or drinking anything gives a consistent set of conditions (well, as consistent as possible) between weight measurements.0 -

This, and be consistent, same day every week is what counts. Daily your weight will fluctuate depending on what you eat and drink.0 -

What if you can't "use the toilet" until after you eat or drink? Also i'm pretty sure you are dehydrated first thing in the morning so it might not be super accurate. But, the important thing is comparing as accurately as possible right? Heck I need to shop for clothes anyway I'm thinking of buying 7 pairs of identical pajamas so i don't need to get naked every time0 -
I always weigh in the morning after i go to the toilet and before eating or drinking anything0

I always wonder when people say to weigh after going to the toilet, do they mean no 2's as well?
I don't know how accurate the weigh in would be if you're still holding all the food you ate yesterday??0 -

Well weight isn't a very accurate measurement in the first place. Weight is just the overall total of everything. Including water (which is essential). You could dehydrate yourself like a proffessional fighter in order to cut the last few pounds to make weight but, that isn't healthy. In a perfect world we'd all be able to do number 2 on command before weighing ourselves. I know for me personally it's very hard to do so before I have any water or coffee in the morning. Even after that it's sometimes iffy. I think the key to measuring progress is consistency. For me that means mondays sometime between 7:30 and 9:30 am before I eat.0 -
I'm lucky if I "release yesterday's food" every couple of days, let alone daily. LOL I get up, I pee, I weigh, I get dressed, I go about my day.0

First thing in the morning, after you relieve yourself, butt naked.0
