So you hate your job... why?

I absolutely loathe my job. I mean I wake up and would rather run a nail through my own foot then come to work. The people I work with (minus 2) have really good work ethics and are a blast to be around the other two lack the ethics but are still good people. It is the job itself I hate with a passion. Most of our client base is good got a few butt heads but the work just drives me nuts!

What do you hate about your job and how do you manage to get through your work day?

I hate that my boss hates me. I work with families with young children and love what I do. I have been there for 11 years. My boss has had her position for 4 months and I have grown to hate my job since then. I've been looking for a new job with a heavy heart, but I don't know if I'll actually leave or not. I guess it depends on what (if anything) I can find out there. There's not a whole lot to choose from. I keep trying to focus on the positive aspects of my job on a day to day basis to get me by until one of us quits.

I get what you mean. I was in same situation a year ago, but somehow got hooked by the idea to work from home. I know it sounds tricky, but trust me it's worth looking into. Personally I love alternatives as traditional businesses drive me nuts with the hierarchy and politics. You just got to love what you do and if that’s based online – even better! You can choose the place you want to work from. If this is something you're keen to give a try, I'd be more than happy to help you out. More on that: http://needacareerchange.com

I don't hate my current job at all. I had worked there from 2003-2008 and left when things got slow in the housing market and they were going to need to cut our hours, but they hired me back and my bosses are like my second and third dads. My coworkers are mostly great, with quirks of course. The job before that though...UGH! The bosses didn't let anyone take on any responsibility so it was boring. We were their little peons and it was a waste of time working there because it progressed my career not at all.

What do you work as? Would you be able to re train and do something else? What would you like to do?

I am one of those people that love my job. I work for a amazing company and have a fantastic manager. I have always gone by this quote....
Success is not the key to happiness . Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing you will be successful.

My boyfriend left being a accountant to become a professional golfer..everyone thought he was crazy. He loves his job more than anyone I know and now makes a lot more than most accountants.

Life is to short to be dreading every day.
    Good luck

I don't hate my job. I love it. :) And I am good at it.

I just don't want to work for someone else. I want to build my own monopoly and become an eccentric billionaire living on a caribbean island doing whatever I want to do 24 x 7. I want to take my FL with me to the island for said partying.

I love what I do and don't dare complain about the boss. I'm self-employed.

I love both my jobs, although it would be nice to get paid a little bit more salary as a waitress, but so be it. I always tell people that don't like their job is just to think paycheck.

That I must clean six bathrooms a morning.

I like my job. Don't really love it. Who loves to clean? I love the people that I work around.

People are increasingly becoming unsatisfied at their jobs. There was a recent survey that majority is either zoned out or just hate their jobs. This was not the case a few years ago. This is the new reality we live in now. The corporation and the government are in it together to make the rich richer and the low-to-middle class poorer. So what you do at work doesnt mean anything but is only a means to further enrich the coffers of those at top of the chain, who in turn elect government officials who make sure that the system stays the same.

You cant get out of it easily either. Wall Street management jobs go to Ivy League types and in order for you to get in you need a good education but also a good family background.

I also should say if you hate your job, be lucky that you even have a job to begin with. There are thousands of people out of work and looking for work who wouldn't mind at all taking your job.
