Starting on my own

Decided a month ago that I wanted to make a change. I am tall and would always hear, "your tall which make you carry your weight well." What kind of comment is this? I am so sick of being fat. I've been overweight since being a teenager. I stopped procrastinating. It was like a switch. I was ready to start. I found this app and sorta like it. I am having a hard time logging my exercise. I am a nurse so I'm on my feet all day and I started jogging 2 wks ago. I use the couch to 2k app for jogging and the makes it difficult to log on this app. Any advice?
