Calorie Surplus

I'm definitely in calorie surplus today, but I just had a great hard workout. So do I need a protein shake after my workout if I'm already in surplus?

    @thorsmom01 I don't have a clue, I haven't been tracking over Christmas and the last couple days. I'm going to say no though, hasn't been the best diet!

    I guess the choice is yours then if you haven't been tracking anyway.
    If it where me and I wasn't tracking , I would add it in if I was still a bit hungry and skip it if I wasn't.

    Probably not

    Unless you are borderline on protein intake, one workout isn't gonna throw you into a catabolic state

    You don't need it, but will the small addition in calories really hurt?
