How about flossing & brushing your teeth after regular meals? I know it's inconvenient but that's how it works. It's inconvenient so you wouldn't want to eat anything else after the hard work!0

A job where you can eat all day for free? I want one of those.0

Eat a filling meal before or at the beginning of your shift and maybe you won't be as tempted. It sounds like you work in a restaurant, make friends with the cooks and tell them of your goals. If you suck up to them, they will most likely give you better choices and help educate you in healthy cooking methods.0

All of this!
I definitely agree with eating before shifts if possible! Making sure you are adequately 'full' and contented will definitely ease up the temptation.0 -
Bring your own premade portioned food, only eat that.0

When I was much younger I was a baker. My regular diet was donuts and other sweets. Fortunately I was on my feet and hustling all day so I never gained weight in those nearly 20 years. It would be very tough now I imagine.
You're going to need some strong willpower.0 -
I feel you! i work in a hotel and there are temptations around constantly. (wedding cake, pastries, candy, and daily fried food in our cafeteria.) it has helped me to plan, pack, and pre-track my days leaving little extra calories for what is floating around elsewhere. If you are going in to pick at something, try and make yourself eat what you packed first... if you want it you will know you are truly hungry. If you don't then know it is probably just a craving for something sugary or whatever is tempting you.
it will always be there so it really just comes down to my ability to say "i can have it another day". some days i win and some days i have cake.0
