Motivating myself to eat healthier!

Hi! Can anybody share with me how you motivate yourself to eat healthier when you've got unhealthy stuff in the house? I haven't gained weight over the holidays, but that's because I usually just eat less after eating half a cheesecake with my breakfast. I can't help but worry about the detrimental affects of too much sugar or the lack of micronutrients in a cheesecake, however!

I guess it won't last forever, but I figure having some tips would be useful for the future.

I got nothing. I am addicted to salty sweets, and peanuts smothered in anything pretty much kill my calorie count for the day. I try (like yourself) to eat less of everything else, and limit the damage and hit the gym more often than usual (twice yesterday) to get back on track.
I am sure someone will offer some advice but all I can tell you is I feel your pain.

I portion and freeze the goodies I would want later but get the rest out of the house ASAP. This way I can have a small portion of cheesecake(or kielbasa) if I really want it but the whole thing is not staring me in the face every time I open the refrigerator door.
