I'm home from university for 4 weeks, I have no gym here and there's so much bad food in the house I'm really struggling and have already put a lot of weight back on... How do I resist?

Offer to do the next trip to the grocery store and that way you can pick up healthier options?0

You have to want to be slim more than eating whatever takes your fancy. If you can't resist things, put them out of sight or practice eating them in moderation. A little of what you fancy is fine, its when we have too much thats the problem Drink plenty of water and who needs a gym? I certainly dont! I walk loads, I run and I lift free weights. If you keep active you'll soon forget about the high calorie foods.0

I try and keep my food separate, but there's biscuits and cakes everywhere !0

I try and run every day but it's just not enough, and it's hard to insist on eating completely different foods from the rest of the family0

You don't need to eat different foods to them, just eat smaller serving sizes.0 -

running isn't enough? gosh if someone told me after I have run 5 miles that isn't enough I wouldn't be impressed! how much do you normally work out?
I know its hard to resist lovely foods, you need to practise taking small samples and that being enough...or you can practise saying 'no thanks', after a while it becomes second nature, but it does take time.
At the end of the day its four weeks, the rest of the year you can eat within your calories and keep a deficit. In fact just up your deficit a little bit when you return to uni and the gain will go in a few weeks.0 -

Keep an eye on portion sizes - as already suggested above
Also OP, it's the christmas period. You've gained a few pounds (as many of us have!) and will get back to normality once you get your routine back. Focus on your goal, evaluate how you plan to get there and importantly, don't beat yourself up about a few bad weeks. Happens to the best of us!0 -
It's your decision to make. Either you overeat while home and gain some weight or you don't.0
