Need some help with calories

I have a question for everyone. I have been at a stand still with my weight loss for a while now. I know that happens to everyone but I have been doing some research on here as well as on the internet. A lot of the things that I have been reading say that I need to up my caloric intake. Currently I have it set at 1400. But a lot of the stuff that I am reading says that I should be between 1900 and 2100 calories per day. I am wondering if I should up my calories or not. Currently I am 175lbs and 5'4. I work out 5 to 6 days a week. I walk with my kids for about 45 mins and I have also started the C25K program and that is 30 mins of run/walk. I guess I am asking for your expert advice
. I guess I am just scared to up it (like most people trying to lose weight) because of fear of gaining weight. Let me know what you think. Thanks
