Using My fitness pal with an Apple watch?

Using the apple watch with my fitness pal, I've noticed that the calories burned total displayed on the apple watch is not the same amount that's showing up in myfitness pal. Its a couple hundred calories lower, but the step count is accurate. Anyone else ran into this problem?

    MFP has exaggerated calorie burn numbers, it isn't recommended to eat back all of the exercise calories given to you by MFP, usually only half or so is recommended, fitness trackers are going to have lower calorie burns in general since they are going to be more accurate.

    Thanks for responding. Not sure if I posed my question clearly or possibly not quite understanding your response. I was more so trying to understand why the data that my apple watch is collecting is different once synced to my fitness pal.

    It's okay, I understand your question. I was actually just looking through the forum to see if there was an answer to the same question. Fitbit used to sync beautifully with MFP but Apple Watch doesn't sync all active burned calories accurately unless you've done them as specific exercise through the HRM feature?? If anyone can help....I've been trying to resolve this for a while

    This has been a glitch for a while. I *think* it's finally fixed. Just make sure you have your Apple Watch selected as the step source in MFP. I think only some and not all the "active" calories are transferred over because MFP already accounts for some of those calories as sedentary.
