My name is Lauren. I am 36 years old. I have been on the heavier side for most of my life and have always struggled with weight loss, especially after being diagnosed with hypothyroidism. In the past I have always been able to lose the weight, or at least stay within a healthy weight range, even if I was on the heavier side. Over the last year to year and a half, I have gained so much weight that I am now the same weight I was 9-months pregnant with my son (188 pounds). This is the heaviest I have ever been and I feel that there are several contributors: two herniated vertebral discs in the summer, a stressful sedentary job, etc. The back injury has healed and I quit the stressful job, so now I am ready to get the old Lauren back. I have a brand new treadmill in my bedroom, a new job, and a new outlook on life. Hopefully the weight loss will follow.
