Fitbit flex question

So, I just got the Fitbit Flex yesterday. When I set it up to sync with MFP, I thought I read something about tapping the Fitbit to tell it when I'm about to workout/do cardio. I can't remember how it said to do it and now I can't find the info anywhere. I know it tracks all day long and will track my workout regardless, but I was just wondering if anyone who has Fitbit Flex knows what I'm talking about?? Thanks!!

you can tell the zip to start timing an exercise by tapping the face a series of times. Just like you do to tell it to go to sleep. You stop the timing by tapping the screen a few times just like when you wake up.0
