The doctor said they normally won't do hip replacement on someone my size but because I have dead bones (avascular necrosis) they will do the really painful hip. They said recovery at my size will be tough. They have to do the other hip too later this year and I MUST lose more weight for that. I am in my fifties and have had to use a walker for the past 4 months. Teaching has gotten really tough and my ability to exercise has gone way down. I am hoping for support as I get ready for surgery in two weeks and as I work to rehab my leg and lose weight. Would love to get below 200 for the first time since 8th grade! I have used MFP on and off for the past two years and have taken off 28 pounds. Just have a long way to go! If you have a difficult journey ahead please friend me and let's kick some butt in 2016.
