Renewed enthusiasm

I've struggled with my weight all my life, tried various calorie counting methods but end up giving in eventually. I joined a gym recently and have a proper programme to follow, so this coupled with a genuine determination to control my food intake I'm feeling optimistic for success. I turn 40 in June 2016 and aim to be considerably fitter by then! Good luck to everyone starting on their fitness goals at the start of a new year.
