Gained weight recently!!!!

Does anyone know why I've gained four pounds when I've been working out quite often!!!! I feel depressed because of it!!!! Maybe it's muscle????????

    You didn't gain 4 lbs of muscle. If you're working out a lot then you're likely retaining water. Don't worry about it. Just do your thing and it'll go. Good luck :smile:

    I always notice, without fail, that my weight goes up a couple of pounds just before a drop. Go figure!

    I find that if I've been intensively exercising then my weight can fluctuate up due to chemicals my body is releasing and a bit of bloating if I've been doing a lot of cardio! Don't worry about it, measure your success in inches and fitness goals instead!
  • Agreed, it's probably just water weight. I can always tell when I'm holding water, bulging adonis belt. The abs really start to pop out and form a little pregnant belly if I'm retaining a lot of water. :laugh:
