Hi folks, a little story.

In January I had it, fed up, I was around 265 and it just had to change. I was winded from doing normal things, I looked like a walrus in search of a buffet. It was bad.

I decided that by my birthday, I'd like to be down to 230, and en route to a good physical self.

Today is my birthday, 34 years on this earth. I'm happy to report that I'm generally moving toward my goal. I missed the number target by 1.8 pounds. I am however moving a lot more than I had planned to as I signed up for and am now busting my backside training for a sprint distance triathlon. Things beyond that are looking up as well, I'm really taking up more of a committed attitude to things. I applied to grad school this week, and later this week (today or tomorrow) we'll be closing on a house purchase.

Things are coming up Millhouse. It took a lot of work to get there, and it's time to kick it in to high gear. I'd like to be at or near 200 by Christmas and have completed my tri. I'd also like to have completed a half marathon, and a bike race. Tall targets, but all it takes is a first step.

Thanks. :) Just got a call too, closing paperwork for the house will be done today. :D

I think it's important for folks to maintain not just goals, but data so they can review at certain milestones and see what has and hasn't worked. :) We can all do this, the details might be different, but we can all do it.
