Setting activity levels

I am a bit confused as to where I put myself in this category
If I put myself as active, i.e. Postman, then I would walk 4 hours a day. Which would give me more calories than say a desk job. Would I then enter 4 hours a day cardio which would give me even more calories? Or would the initial activity level set take this into account.

Your activity level excludes exercise, as that's how MFP is set up. It does include work, running errands, socializing, taking care of the house/kids, cooking, and just living. Set it appropriately to your lifestyle, then add any physical exercise you do.0

I do alot of walking for my job, so I set it to lightly active. Then i add my cycle to work and any additional exercise separately.0

To err on the side of caution, go with lightly active while adding in any exercise separately and see how it works for a while. You may find that is right or that it is not enough calories so you need to up it to the next level.
Or you could go the other way and set it to active and see if you are gaining/maintaining and need to drop it down. Either way, you'll find the right fit eventually!0 -
Thanks everyone, that makes it a lot clearer!0
