Hi, my name is Franci and I am 67 years old.

Most of my life I was slender and fit (I used to be a runner) and I ate relatively well. Then I went thru menopause ~ twice ~ and had a double mastectomy.

After that, I just got out of the habit of exercising ~ which is weird because I remember how good I felt after a session at the gym or running a few miles ~ and I got lazy about my food and just ate waaaay too much waaaay too often.

I went from a slender healthy woman to an unhealthy, very overweight woman. I have tried Weight Watchers, but for some reason I just don't like it, whether online or in-person ~ not for me.

I like MFP have had a bit of success and it has helped motivate me into moving again.

Look forward to meeting others on the site.

Franci

Welcome aboard! I like your username.
I tried WW a long time ago too. I lost weight with the in person/meetings version but it didn't stick. MFP works better for me.

Feel free to add me as a friend. We have things in common.

Hey, Franci, I've never done weight watchers, though a friend told me about it and I don't like what it seems like they do. I put my stats in on the app and it said I was allowed 1,700 calories a day… so apparently there diet plan is to not eat enoughC, which is why I love MFP. So, welcome to our little community. My name is Skye, feel free to add me!
