I am new new to actually using all of the items provided by My Fitness Pal. In the past I have only use it for calculation nutritional information on recipes. I will be starting on this tomorrow 01/01/16. I do have a question. In perusing the blogs and recipes I noticed that quite a few of the recipes call for whole eggs as well as egg whites. Would I get the same nutritional value from using the egg whites in a carton as from a whole egg. The eggs here in Indiana are sky high and if I can use the egg whites in a carton I would like to do that. By the way, I didn't introduce my self. My name is Bette Ireland, I am originally from So. California and now reside in Cloverdale, In for the past 20 years. I have a husband Pat, a son and a daughter and 3 grand kids. Two girls (sisters) ages 22 and 15 and a grandson aged 17. The oldest girl is named Kasey and she is currently stationed in Yokosuda, Japan aboard the Blue Ridge LCC 19 ship as a hospital corps person. She has been in the Navy for 3 years and really enjoys it. The other two are in high school. Samantha is a freshman and Nick is a junior and very active in marching band. He plays the tenor sax. I am also a foster grandma for our local Head Start and I really enjoy it. My hobbies are knitting, crocheting, volunteering, cooking. I will be 74 next month, on the 28th, so I do like to keep active as much as I can. The old body doesn't seem to move as easy as it once did and I am somewhat hindered in that I have 2 artificial knees and am not suppose to get on them. I would love to strike up blog buddies to help me in this adventure and I would love to get to know you. Thanks for listening and I hope you have a great New Years Eve and a wonderful 2016.

Welcome! Yes, you can use the egg whites or egg substitute in the carton just as you would use fresh egg whites.0
