25 year old wife/higher education professional looking for MFP buddies to meet our goals in '016

Hi everyone! I am embarking on a journey to lose 70lbs. I recently lost 30lbs and gained it all back plus some due to an illness over the summer that restricted me from working out and eating veggies for 4 mos. In general I've been a serial yo-yo dieter/fitness junkie anyhow. My goal is to lose the first 60lbs maintain the weight for a few months and adjust my program to lose an additional 10. I started making healthier choices Monday. I'm currently in the first week of c25k, logging on MFP, and doing Zumba 2x a week. Just looking for an extra push to keep me going. I weighed in at 232 lbs this week and was absolutely shocked. My goal is to lose at least 2lbs a week.

Let's do this!

Hello! How do you like the c25k program? I'm interested in following it as well to over come the "I hate running" idea that I have. My goal is also to lose about 70 pounds during 2016. It's been my never ending goal for the past few years but each year the number increases -_-

I know that wasn't for me, but... I love C25K. I did it last year and went from not being able to jog to doing 5Ks on a regular basis. I also ended up doing a 15K in November 2014. Sadly, I let myself go but will definitely get back into it. It is just one of those things you have to stick with and not give up on.

So far I love it. It truly is designed for non runners. It's actually kept me motivated because I have had success with completing the first 3 days of the program. I also like the prompts will I'm doing the run. I've always hated running but I know that if I can build endurance to run it will be a major success for me. I say give it a try. I'll try to keep you updated as I go into next week.

I tried the 21 fat fix in october. I think it's a great program. I lost about 8lbs and my husband lost about 17lbs. It really is a great tool to teach portion control and nutrients balance. But I was not mentally motivated to continue another cycle. But I might pull out my containers soon and give it another go now that I'm all in.

BTW feel free to contact me as well!
