I'm exclusively breastfeeding and trying to lose weight. I know that I need to eat more considering that bf burns calories, but I'm not sure how much more. I've read anywhere from 300-500 calories. Have any of you dieted or exercised while breastfeeding and lost weight? Please share any tips. Thank you!

I'd talk to a lactaion consultant or your doc. I think eating at maintenance would work. Just keep a close eye on your supply and your baby's weight gain. I wouldn't try to lose quickly, just focus on your overall health and your baby.

From personal experience, when I started dieting and exercising my milk supply tanked. So, unless your baby is eating solids and starting to have regular milk and water, I would hold off on the diet part. Eat at your maintenance level and you should be fine.
