Goooood morning. How are you guys doing today? The weather in the Waikato is... grey. With fog. And more grey.

I survived last week's excursion to Christchurch and made it through: airplane cookies (did not have); airplane veggie crisps (Did have); catered lunches (tried to be good, given the choices); a Mexican restaurant (We'll call this one a treat meal... had the filling of a tequila-lime pie that was DIVINE); a Thai restaurant (Nom. Had red prawn curry); the squeaky hotel treadmill (got up twice before breakfast to exercise).

For the weigh-in, I'm exactly the same as last week--68.4kg. I've been between 68.2kg and 68.8kg all week long. That's three weeks of hovering on the scale in the 68s, but I've started strength training at the gym, so I suspect (hope) that I'm storing water weight and/or losing body fat %. I think I'm about done losing weight, though. I feel... comfortable at this size.

This week's celebration: I went shopping for my holiday (I leave next Friday) and left the shop with size 10s (US size 6) in the packet!

Jimjamjandles, I hope you're feeling better!!

That is awesome that you reached your goal weight and are still on here to make sure you stay healthy and keep it off. I've heard about soooooo many people who lose the weight they want then gain it back and more. Losing weight and keeping if off have to be the most difficult thing ever! Congratulations to you. Inspiring.

    Thank you!

I've only just reached the vicinity of my goal weight, and I'm in the process of adjusting to moving over to maintenance calories. I lost a lot of weight in 2005 and put it all (plus more) back on, so I know how that story goes, sadly. It's very easy to slip back into old habits, so MFP is a useful tool for me to keep focus

    hey

congrats somigliana on surviving the travel minefield! I bet you will be just retaining water etc from strength training

I was at 70.4 this morning, but I'm not attaching any particular significance to it as I'm sick and incredibly sore from a game of soccer in the weekend (I got carried away and did way more sprinting than my body can handle, apparently!)...

Hopefully next week I'll be a bit lower. And as soon as I'm not sick I plan on starting running to work again as well as strength training, so hopefully I can actually get rid of the last 4 kgs!!

Congratulations on a size 10! That's awesome! You might've said already but I can't remember - where are you going on your holiday?

Thank you, Hepkitty :) That was a small travel minefield compared to the one I'm facing. I'm heading off for three weeks to the States--San Francisco, New York, Washington DC, roadtrip down to Orlando, Orlando. Subway, here I come, LOL.

I hope you feel better soon, too!!

The weather in New Plymouth is.... grey and more grey. Surprise, surprise... lovely Mt Taranaki cloaked in snow is... ummm, somewhere under cloud. Any spare room in your suitcase for a stow-away?

My weight is static too, which is no concern to me at the moment, and I am off to the gym in about 15 mins. Today is shoulders/arms which is slightly less torturous than my current back workout which I did yesterday and is simply not amusing.

Have a good day Ms Kiwi!

    Thanks

It feels pretty bleak right now, is all.

Somewhere above 81.9kg the other day... 78.8 today... but that's still a 2kg gain from last week. And it is a gain. Chocolate, chips, dip, PIES!!!!! nom nom nom...
I realised, I keep blaming it on AF fluid, but seriously... No. I'm doing something wrong because in 6 months I'm exactly where I started. Exactly.
    Am I counting wrong?
Am I kidding myself about how active I am?
Are the packages wrong? I know my serving sizes are right...
Most likely its the fact that I can't stay away from BK. They're opening a McDonalds at the Mount too, Lord help me when that opens, if I don't have this under control there will be no stopping my advancing bulk...

I finally tracked down the girl I lent my WW at home kit to a year ago, so I'm getting that back and I'll run with it again. It worked for me last time.
For some reason, even though the principle is the same, I just can't manage doing it this way...
