Eating amount of sugar and carbs?

So my question is, a lot of people it seems say they just treat their sugar intake as carbs since it is a form of carbs.
Here's the thing, I often am close to or over on sugar but way under on carbs. Like today I have exactly 0 sugar left, so I haven't eaten over it yet, but I will, but I have 126 g of carbs left. So is this okay? I don't have like diabetes or anything and today the sugar is mostly coming from fruit and dairy not like "refined sugar"

I, personally, don't really pay attention to the sugar since mine is typically from fruit (although also from yogurt and chocolate). I fell ok about that for me, since it's not like I'm eating 2 donuts and 3 Snickers bars a day and washing them down fruit punch and regular Coke.

I concentrate on my caloric intake and my three main macro's (Carb's first, then Protein, and Fat) I have never tracked a gram of sugar (ever). If I am hitting my Macro's the rest will take care of itself... Best of Luck... (Oh and I might add I am Diabetic)
