How about those dietary restrictions?

I have tried this awesome ap a few times in the past, and due to no fault of the ap I have failed each time. I would love to hear from folks who are in similar situations and how they cope!
Here's my deal:
Feeding a 4 year old and a carnivore husband plus myself on 200 dollars a month. I cannot eat beans, broccoli, tomatos, onions, garlic, and a few other of the standard budget stretchers due to digestion problems and no I can't take medication for it because my body processes too quickly and I get no benefit. I live in the midwest where meat is just as expensive as most other areas but vegetables enough to go vegetarian are even more expensive than meat. Pastas and starches make good fillers for a budget but they also fill the waistline lol. Anyone else in this boat?

Hi OP! Pastas and starches only fill the waistline if you eat too much! If you don't have one, get a food scale and start weighing out your servings. Log accurately and consistently so you can start to see a pattern of where all your calories go and where you can make small changes. Stock up on frozen veggies that your system can handle - they are cheap, filling, and nutritious. And after eating dinner, take a walk around the block
You can lose weight on any type of diet as long as you keep your calories in line. You don't have to spend a lot or buy anything special. Good luck!
Edited to add: Eggs - nutritious and affordable. And focus on fresh produce in season. It is winter in NY, so apples, potatoes, and cabbage are cheap and abundant, so I'm eating a lot of them!0
