All the flexibility of a steel I-beam

I have very little flexibility which makes it somewhat difficult for me to use my sea kayak. It also makes it pretty difficult for me to do the eskimo roll when I do capsize. I'm wanting to do yoga to help with flexibility but everything I see or book I look at shows poses that I can't come anywhere close to doing. Does anyone know of a book or youtube video or dvd that has stuff aimed at people who have a long way to go before they can do the actual poses?

    Two books have helped me:
    Relax into Stretch
    and
    Becoming a Supple Leopard

    Moreso the second one. I'm still not a supple leopard, but I'm getting closer.
