I am keen to get this weight loss thing under way. I terrible at just STARTING and following through. I really want to get down to my pre-pregnancy weight so we can plan for our second child! I am constantly saying to my poor husband that, "I'm getting serious" but I can't seem to get to past that statement lol. I really do need to get my butt into gear. I was doing well calorie counting for about 3 months, but I was discouraged after losing only a kilo a month. Now I have put on about 5 kg since then. (about 6 months ago). I almost, always go over my calorie limit. I am absolutely hopeless at this. Please tell me I am not alone! Help please!

I think the key is finding a way for this to not be something that stresses you out. I know for me the more "work" it is the less likely I am to do it. I am not sure how much weight you have to lose but if it is just a little maybe put your goal to only lose .5 a week to start and see if that helps, just to get you used to logging and changing some behaviors and thoughts. Make sure you have a great support system as well. Encouragement works wonders. Then make small changes. One step at a time. If you drink pop maybe have one less a day and sub it with water, or if you have a fitness goal try doing that, so if you want to get more active in general start by going for a 5 min walk, then 10 and so on.

I hope this helps a little. Unfortunately motivation is not easy to impart to someone. Like most things you either start or wuit because you found yourself truly wanting to change, tired of being in the same place or sick with the same things or whatever the case may be. That is where we tend to find out motivation.

Good luck on your journey! :)

Thank you Becca. I have a lot of weight to lose all up. About 20-30kg all up but I am only interested in losing enough for a comfortable pregnancy (10kg to lose or so) for now. I do wonder If I do stress too much. Thank you
