I'm sure it's different for all mommies, but I'm wondering if anyone has advise on calorie intake and exercise while breastfeeding. My little one is 4 months old and I have lost my baby weight but I would also like to still lose a few pounds and focus on a healthy lifestyle. I know it is important to take in enough calories to produce milk. Any advise is welcome.

cut down on calories slowly this way you will notice how much you can eat to maintain you milk supply. my little one is almost 3 and still breastfeeds. I dieted when he was little and didn't notice any drop in my milk but everyone is different hope this helps xx

Keep calories up, keep carbs below 110/day.

I'm not nursing anymore, but when I did, my supply tanked if I cut calories enough to lose. So be careful! That was actually great with my first, as I had an oversupply, lol.

My advice would just be to step down your calories very slowly. Start high (maybe 3000 a day? depends what you weigh of course- but basically start at maintenance for your weight + breastfeeding calories) and step down 200 calories a week while paying attention to your milk.
