Fitbit Accuracy

Options
Hi guys! So I got a Fitbit for Christmas, and I've been wearing it on my dominant hand (because I usually wear a wristwatch on my non dominant hand) and I've noticed that the step count I'm getting is extremely high for days where I haven't really done much, which makes me feel that the Fitbit is recording steps for times where I'm chopping vegetables or writing something, or any wrist movement. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can get more accurate results? Thanks!

Well I don't have a fitbit but I have a Polar A360 which is also a wrist based activity tracker and the manual says to wear it on your non-dominant hand so that it tracks more accurately. I would move it to your non-dominant hand and change your watch to your dominant hand.
