Too much calcium

So in trying to meet my calorie and macros today I have accidentally ingested too much calcium. 67% over the daily goal. Is this something I should be concerned about? I know it's just one day, not like I've been doing it for weeks. I am a bit concerned though. Just wanted to hear some thoughts about it. I'm sure I'll be fine.

MFP often underestimates those daily percentages in the first place. Is anything going to come of it going over? No. The body often rejects nutrients it doesn't need once you hit a certain point.
I just wouldn't make it a habit to go over on calcium. I'm not 100% certain of the validity of this tidbit because I have never had one, but too much calcium might heighten your risk of kidney stones. Or so people have told me that have had them. But one day over isn't going to hurt anything.0 -
No danger if from food. It's when you get involved with supplements that you have to be careful. Also, did you have this all at one time? The body can only absorb 500mg at a time (2 hour period). And, when you eat high fiber foods, you can absorb less calcium. Wish your diary would have been open.0

Thanks for the answer. That's good information. I have also heard about the kidney stones. But more often than not I am probably under daily calcium anyway.
@JanetYellen I had some in my almond milk with breakfast, but I just had most of it a little while ago. I had a shake with whey protein and yogurt.0 -
Some things can be dangerous, too much vitamin a while pregnant can cause issues I believe.
But unless your taking supplements your probably ok.
How did you get so much calcium?0 -

I have had a kidney stone episode and following it, was given a pamphlet on what foods to avoid to prevent them in future. I have also been advised that tests show I'm in danger of developing osteoporosis and the pamphlet I was given this time, had all the foods I need to be sure to include in my diet to prevent it.
These two handouts directly contradicted each other almost item for item. All you can do is size up the various risks you face and decide which is the more important one to address.
The default calcium requirement in MFP is less than half of what I was advised to take for bone health.

I'm sorry, I chuckled a little bit at that. Not because of your misfortune, but at the contradicting viewpoints and how typical that is at doctor offices. I do wish you good fortune in health though! Neither of those things are fun.
