Hello all....

Im 30 years old..Mother of 3 boys.. both c-sections. My twins the first time almost 9 years old and the baby is 4 months old. I lost all my baby weight beside 3 pounds but that pretty good....My breastfeeding has slowed down due to going back to work...so now I noticed my weight loss has stopped.

i am an Rn in the ER so I am active...but Now i am going to set my calories and exercise...run/walk/cruches/jump rope/some zumba..etc..trying everything i can think of with a baby.

Anyways my question is how can I strength my stomach...its flabby and weak from the c-sections and makes my self-esteem really low.

If anyone has any ideas or has gone through a c-section and is trying to lose weight and help that lower stomach that is flabby..I would really appreciate the advise..thanks

  • Lindsay Brin has an entire line of DVDs that are geared towards women and especially post pregnancy women. She has some single DVDs and also two multiple-DVD programs. She also has videos on youtube where you could try her out first before buying anything. The DVDs are available on her website (momsintofitness.com) and amazon. Ebay used to ahve some of the single DVDs.

Hope that helps! Congrats on all your babies!!

i have had 4 c/s and this isn't going to make you happy. Basically you need a tummy tuck with the internal girdle(sp?) I did really well getting the weight off after c/s 1 and 2 but after #3 the sag set in and then number 4 and well the more I lose the worse it gets. I literally can't do ab workouts all of the scar tissue has built up so bad that if I move the wrong way it tears and feels like I am straight out of surgery for about a week. In retospect I wish I had fought harder for vaginal births.

hello~ I have had 3 C-sections myself. Have you tried any of the Beach Body videos? Like Turbo Fire, P90x, Insanity etc? I do Turbo Fire myself and drink Shakeology. Another personal favorite which I think works great is Winsor Pilates..oldie but a goodie. Your probably can find them on Amazon.
  • I am also looking to lose weight after my c section. I had my baby 2 weeks ago and I started walking as soon as possible to try and ease back into working out. I also breast feed so hopefully that will speed up the weight loss. Once I get the ok from my doctor I will begin strength exercises to try and get my abs back. Are there any ladies who were able to get there abs back after a c section? (This is actually my second c section).
