brisk walk results

Hi there,
So I am looking to get back to a healthy BMI and lose in total 50 lbs. I have phases where I am really active and times when it is really hard to get me to workout at all. I am in one of those slumps right now and I am thinking of starting off slow about 40 minutes of walking on the treadmill daily and will incorporate weight training next month alongside this.
I am recovering from an injury and walk at a speed of 3 right now with an incline of 5 for 40 minutes. I admit that I don't sweat that much but it's making me feel better that I am starting to be active daily.
I am just wondering if I will get any physical results or benefits from doing this for a month, what about 3 months, six months? I am hoping to start kickboxing for 40 minutes daily next month which makes me sweat profusely and burn a lot of calories but at the moment I am not motivated enough to do that from the get go.
Can i expect to see any toning or weight loss if I walk like this daily for one month and count calories as well? I know that it is calories in vs calories out but I am just wondering if this amount and intensity of exercise is not enough to see results.
Thank you in advance.

All movement benefits you. Burning even an additional 100 calories per day =10 lbs per year. Plus the health benefits.0

You have to start where you are, especially when recovering from an injury. I was really excited when I worked up to my first three mile hike...and then my first three mile hike without fantasizing about calling someone to come pick me up because my knees were bothering me0

No expert here but I did find once I started walking with purpose, good posture and muscle engagement, I did see improvements ( small) in legs, glutes, and abs.
At 5'1 I also looked a little taller because I had stopped slouching.
Practicing good posture is really underrated but well with the effort.
Cheers, h.0 -
You can burn 0 calories by not walking; or some calories by walking. Any activity you can incorporate into your life will benefit you. The human body is made to move.0
