I started using mfp 5 days ago.... On june 21st I stepped on a scale and found out I was at 301!! I was devistated, my sister told me about this site and on the 22nd I started my new way of eating and after only 5 days I cant believe ny pants have a lil wiggle room! 5 friggin days....
I have been running around in sweats but today I decided to throw on my jeans that were gettin a lil snug...as I was putting one leg in I said to myself "ok its only been 5 days, dont get discouraged, its not much time for anything to change" Low and behold...I pulled up my pants and they actually buttoned without me havin to suck it in! lol
When did you all begin to notice clothes fitting better??
I dont have a scale so I am not able to weigh myself but Im anxious to get to one

as you exercise inches change actually faster than weight does...for example I did not lose for several weeks but still did my exercises and my body changed... clothes fit different .. I had lost inches.. it was great!! scales are an inaccurate measure in my mind..for example.. you can do very well on your diet, have a bit too much salt and you retain water, which shows up on the scale as "weight". did you gain? of course not it makes you think you did... so careful with the scale... look at it as an "advisor" LOL not as always right0

Definitely focus on inches. Don't overwhelm yourself and don't step on that scale daily or even weekly. Try, the first of the month for weigh in.0

Word.
And take a "before" picture. Right now. In something skimpy but not underwear. Do it. You'll be glad you did.0 -
Good for you! I am actually obsessed by my scale lol, but I am also measuring and trying on old clothing that haven't fit in a while. Slowly, I will get there. I'm trusting the program, and I don't care how long it takes0

I agree with this. I never took measurements and I totally regret it now. I would love to know how many inches that I lost. Good luck and feel free to add me if you like.0 -
Thank you all for the advice! I am gonna get on the before pic and measurments tonight! My sister asked me if I can tell the difference by looking in the mirror and the change is so little, I cant tell just by looking. So I guess i gotta whip out the dreaded tape measure :P0
