Good morning everyone and anyone who is reading my post.

What has held you back or is holding you back from losing weight?

This post is mainly just to express my fear of losing weight. I'm scared of excess skin. I know that it's a very stupid reason to hold me back.

I am so afraid to go through all of this hard work just to be unhappy at the end result. Excess skin doesn't hinder your health, but it is a concern for me and I am sure for others as well.

I do not just want to lose weight to look good and feel good about my appearance. I also want to lose weight for performance. I want to be physically fit. So I can have strength, endurance, and so I can enjoy the outdoors and sports.

Does anyone else feel/felt the same way and how did you overcome these fear(s)?

Lift weights and don't lose weight too quickly and you will reduce your chances of excess skin. And remember, excess skin is not as bad as excess fat

    Thank you.

I am trying to register that into my mind. There's a million reasons why excess fat is way worse than excess skin!

I understand where u r coming from, I also have a fear of looking older. I lose weight but it shows more on my face and chest. Instead of stomach and thighs. I wish it would be the other way. I have decided to lose weight to feel better physically and mentally, if I look older so be it, at least I'll have energy. Good luck !
