I have lost 64 pounds since August 11 2015 put since just before Christmas I haven't lost any thing nor have I gained. MFP is only giving me 1200 calories a day. I am 51 female 5'7" started at 287 now weigh 223. I eat as low as 1000 a day but try most days to stay around 1200. I do go to the gym usually 3 days a week for 2 hours I walk on treadmill at 3 mph for an hour and a sit down elliptical for an hour. Im limited on what I can due to many ortho problems. So can anyone help me get past this. Im trying to lose as much as I can before June 2016 due to another foot surgery.

are you using a food scale to measure all your food? that could be part of the problem. I'm on 1400 calories & it can make a huge difference

I weigh everything and do not eat back excercise calories and theres nothing medically wrong. I do log everything but I know my diet has not been as healthy lately

I don't eat what most would consider a "healthy" diet, I don't exercise, and I'm slowly losing weight over time. It comes in whooshes mostly and sometimes it looks like I'm not losing but looking at the overall trend month-to-month shows the loss.

If you aren't losing month-to-month, extra calories are sneaking in somewhere.

Have you double-checked that the MFP database items that you are using have accurate nutritional info?

Maybe you can try to get to the gym more than 3 days a week? Try 4-5 and see if that additional exercise helps. I know you said your options are limited due to ortho problems, but maybe trying something new will give your body a jump start.

I don't claim to be an expert, but back when I weighed 170 (I'm 5'9") I was told that 1400 wasn't enough and to eat MORE (I was exercising about 5 days a week). I increased my calories to 1600 and lost almost 2 lbs that week. Again, I'm no expert, but considering you're in the 200s I feel like 1000-1200 isn't enough, and could be stalling your weight loss, based on what others have told me. Are you eating more when you exercise? I've heard no one should ever eat less than 1200 a day.

My recommendation is patient persistence. For many different reasons our bodies can hold on to water that can mask a weight loss. Keep at it for at least a month before you make any adjustments, my guess is in the next few days you will have a whoosh of weight loss. Congrats on your 64 pound loss!
