Can we talk about Ender's Game for a minute?

I can't be the only one here who's completely enthralled with the book and thinks that anyone who saw the movie without reading the book sorely missed out! I had to read it in high school and ten years later still can't get over how good it is. Anyone read the others? I'm nervous that they can't live up to the first.

Loved the book. I have Ender's Shadow, but haven't read it yet. Not ashamed to admit I enjoy teen fiction.

Is it meant for teens? If it is, it's definitely deep enough that adults can easily appreciate it.

I enjoyed Ender's Shadow more. The series was very good though. Bean was a lil badass. The movie was disappointing. They could have done a much better job. But then again the books are always better. Lol

I haven't seen the movie. Ender's Game is a masterpiece of Science Fiction.

Books are always better than the movies they engender. I quit watching the LoTR movies in disgust at how they mangled Tolkien's creation. I was baffled when I saw the abysmal Dune movie before I read Frank Herbert's novel.

Not like I have strong opinions on the matter...

I think they could have done better, but after a little thought I decided a movie could never do the book justice. There was far too much internal dialogue in the book to translate into a movie, and I think that's a big part of what made the book so great.
