Counting Calories

I have asked this question before, but did not get much of a response, yet I think it will be helpful for many of us. When you are entering your items for a recipe that includes marinade, how do you calculate those calories? If you marinate chicken breasts in, let's just say a cup of fat free Italian dressing, and you throw half (or more) of the marinade away when you begin to cook, what measurement/calorie count should you use?

Personally, I guesstimate how much of the marinade made its way into the final product. But I'm fairly lax in my calorie counting compared to may people here. Others may tell you to log all the marinade to be on the safe side.0

You could pour it into your measuring cup and then throw it out. I'd probably assume 20% could be water leftover from the meat though. Just throwing that out there haha.
Or use less marinade. You probably don't need to be using so much if you're throwing out half.0 -
I measure it before I toss it. It's not an exact science, but better than guesstimating.0

I estimate how much I used, and estimate high for higher cal ingredients.0
