Go to your Goals in Settings. Enter in your weight, your desired weight and the amount of weight you want to lose. So if you put 2 lbs per week then it will give you 1200.

You also should have your activity level set at sedentary. The more active you are the more calories you will need to eat, so if you put in active then it it probably won't give you 1200 calories.

If you are imputing your information correctly, then you should eat to your MFP goal. Faster is not always better with weight loss, and many people find moderate deficits easier to maintain for long periods of time.
  • The only way I can change mine is by using the MyFitnessPal app on my iPhone  It's under More > Goals > Calorie & Macronutrient Goals.
    Hope this helps!
