Overate and Losing?

I decided to ease myself into a lower calorie diet (lower than what I normally eat). I am doing the TDEE -20% by using my HRM, Fitbit, and my sedentary TDEE to calculate my daily goals.
Last week, I overate by an average of 770 calories per day. Now, I know I've increased my activity level, but I still ate 300-400 calories over what I should eat to maintain. Yet, I lost 0.2 pounds this week.
I know that weight is likely natural fluctuation, but the math doesn't add up here. I don't understand how I lost any weight.

Finding actual TDEE over the internet is not reliable. Recording food intake and energy expenditure is another area that generally is out by 20+% on average. Overall you need to record your progress over at least 12 weeks to forecast trends simply because weight fluctuation happens daily and weekly.0

Well, I don't have the money to get my BMR and TDEE tested every month, so I have to rely on internet sources.0

.2 isn't a lot, so it could very well be water weight or natural shifts. Look for long term patterns and keep doing what works for you0

your getting energy from the food which helps you burn more so u eat more in return and your doing a great job! go chickie!0
