stand up lunch

I work in a school and have just taken on lunch time duties for a bit of extra cash. Problem is that I now have to eat lunch standing and walking around keeping an eye on the kids. Been having soup on a travel mug, but not finding it very filling. Looking for suggestions for foods that are healthy, low GI and easy to munch on the go ?

Snack boxes are fun... Hb eggs, chicken tenders or drumsticks, meatballs, mini quiches. Vegie sticks, dips, crackers, nuts (if not a nut free school), fruit cut up. Wraps or sandwiches.

I find it bizarre that you get paid extra to do that... In Australia, it's part of the teachers role, and there is a roster to share it around!

You can bake up savory oatmeal-veggie muffins and eat a couple along with your soup.

Wraps or sandwiches should be ok for eating standing up. Maybe add one to your soup. I find apples and carrots on the side tend to help fill me up as well.
