Hey there some dumb question time and also help time. I sit at a desk a lot and I'm trying to figure out ways to exercise the best. I Bought those Golds Gym hand grip things. Does this burn calories or just minor strength training? Also how many calories would it burn say 5 calories per 100 reps. Just a guesstimate

Not enough to make it worth logging IMO.

i sit at a desk, and i look for every excuse to get up and move around. Lots of trips to the printer, fax, bathroom, water , coffee, etc. I make full use of my breaks by power walking around the block or running the stairs. and when you go home at night, don't sit down until bedtime.

No good for any calorie burn worth mentioning.
    Decent for forearm/grip strength.

I also have a desk job. I walk a lot to do normal tasks: printing, copying, talking instead of emailing, getting water, distributing paperwork, etc..

I also do push-ups throughout the day. I just do them behind my desk, not in anyone's way. You can also do push-ups on the wall or a sturdy desk. You can do air squats.

Most of this isn't going to burn substantial calories, but it's better than just sitting all day.
