Should I buy new bathroom scales?

Hello all,

Recently I've been thinking about replacing my digital bathroom scales (which are over 4 years old). Despite weighing in the same area of the bathroom, they are beginning to fluctuate. For example I would step on them and they would read 67kg, after a few seconds (when the scales turns itself off) I would step on them again, just for confirmation, and it reads 68kg. So I would them step on them again and it would read 67.4kg.

I changed the batteries over 6 months ago but this type of fluctuation is becoming more frequent. Should I just get myself a new scale or should I calm down and not be so neurotic?

Some scales have to be calibrated periodically. Perhaps search the internet to see if your scale can be re-calibrated? I noticed my scale giving me the same kind of fluctuations and I followed the instructions to re-calibrate it and it fixed the problem. If you can't re-calibrate it, I'd personally get a new scale. Basic, weight-only digital scales are relatively cheap - you can get a good one for $20-30 on Amazon.
