Struggling to lose after Christmas?

Before Christmas I was sticking to my 1200 calorie goal and steadily losing 2lb a week - over Christmas I did stop counting and obviously gained a little (5lb)
However now I'm back on the 1200 diet very similar to how I was eating before and aren't seeing any weight loss or change. I wondered if maybe my body was still adjusting after Christmas indulgence and it would take a little more time for anything to 'kick in' as such. Is anyone else seeing finding anything like this?

No.
Weight loss takes time and patience. Christmas was only 2 weeks ago. That's not nearly enough time to determine success or failure.0 -
I got the gift of weight gain too.. I just went back to a deficit. Water weight changes only for now. You should give any time you make dietary changes time for the body to adjust..
If you feel you should have lost something depending on the start of the deficit checking the logging of your food and be honest about the logging..0
