Hi!
My name is Mary. My weight loss journey started in 2013 and I've lost 100 pounds. I've managed to keep most of it off for the last two years. I am currently at 166 and I have taken on the challenge of trying a figure/physique competition within the next year. I have hired a trainer and am on my way. I have a long way to go but I am confident in my ability to work hard! (It's the food that's going to be the challenging part LOL).
I am hoping to meet like-minded people here, as well as people who may have competed already. I would love to learn from your experiences. I am a firm believer in "no judgement" when it comes to weight...everyone has their own struggles and goals and we need to encourage each other, not be condescending and negative.
I wish everyone the best on their journey to being a better and healthier You!

I lost 75 pounds and have done two bodybuilding competitions. For the categories you are wanting to compete in having enough muscle is very important. If you have lifted for a year or two you might have enough to compete within the next year. I'm sure your trainer will set you up to do well on stage.0
