Slim Fast is essentially just a meal replacement shake. Muscle milk was a staple in my weight loss journey. So, it works if your other meals are on point.

I've tried them, they're okay. As Spook said, there's tons of powders that are exactly the same thing. First, you have to think about why you're taking it. Many protein shakes are low carb to get a bunch of protein without the calories. Meal replacements on the other hand have more fat and carbs to fill and fuel you. That's great, but you can eat shortly after or even with a protein shake but if you do that with a meal replacement you'll probably be getting too many cals. The problem with shakes as meals is your body digests liquid more quickly and you feel less satisfied since you don't have to chew. You may find you're hungry shortly after. Plus, it does NOTHING to retrain you on positive eating habits. I do lean protein shakes to supplement after a workout but stay away from meal replacements.
