Half marathon training and increased calories

I've been training for a half marathon and I use the map my run app which approximates how many calories I burned on a run and syncs that with my fitness pal. It is nearly impossible for me to eat right and get all my calories in without feeling extremely over full. I am not using a protein shake yet but I plan on buying powder this week and that will help a tiny bit but does anyone have any other suggestions?

For half marathon training you want to get between 1.2-1.5g of protein per kg of bodyweight. Divide your weight in lbs by 2.2 and multiply that by 1.2-1.5. You will need to pay attention to your recovery level to determine if you need to consume the upper end (1.5g).
If you're hitting the mark through diet than you won't need a protein shake.
Most of the Kenyan runners you see winning medals in distance running eat very high carb diets and only get around 10% of their calories from protein.
Sorry to hear you're feeling full but the only way to negate that is by cutting back on your running.

You could try eating smaller amounts of more calorie dense things. It is also important not to under eat.0

Find a protein calculator that's based on LEAN BODY MASS, not total body weight. All others will overestimate your needs, as protein is not needed to maintain fat, but is only needed by your muscles.0
