Average calorie goal per week?

I have reach my goal and in maintenace mode for some months now and lately I have tried to increase my workout.

this might sounds confusing but I am just not sure if I average my TDEE right or not. Usually I just average it out from looking at Fitbit to see how many calories I have burn per day in a week then average it out on weekend or on Sunday. Then if I have calories left from the whole current week, on Sunday I'd eat my TDEE calorie+leftover calorie I have in a week. Is this sounds about right?

Or should I based my weekly calorie goal based from how many average calorie I have burned from last week?

As long as your Fitbit TDEE is accurate, I'd say that either will work - the 2nd option is probably more balanced, as long as your exercise levels are reasonably consistent from one week to the next.

If you are tracking your calories eaten though, why not double-check your TDEE - just add up all your calories eaten for the week, adjust for any weight gain or loss (at 3,500 calories per pound) and divide by 7. That way you'll know for sure what your TDEE is and be able to trust your Fitbit data (or not).

Thanks for the reply. My daily activity is not consistent much from month to month, so I think the first option is better. :)
