So my nyr is to run a 10k and i found this 5k run in May that im currently training for, so im curently running every other day, however on the other days im not doing anything.
As my 'trouble zone' is my tummy i want to do more core exercises and i found this video called 6 week 6 pack that seems to be exactly what im looking for.
However now im somewhat worried that maybe its not safe/healthy to do both together, the running schedule says its ok to do more exercise on the side, but i would like some more input because i dont really have friends who know about this stuff and the internet says its ok, but i think this communities input might help me make a little more sense of this all

I'm sure it's fine.
That being said, if your trouble spot is due to having excess fat on your stomach, keep in mind that spot fat reduction is not possible. Strengthening and, with proper nutrition, building specific muscles are possible. To lose fat on your stomach eat in a caloric deficit, which means eating fewer calories than you burn. You can do that by eating less, moving more (all physical activity burns calories), or a combination.

Core strength and stability will improve your running tremendously.
It depends on how intense the program is. Why don't you start by doing it once and see how long it takes for your muscles to recover. If it's too much you can always choose a different program or space out the workouts more.
Also, it's fine to run with sore muscles0 -
I don't know that program specifically, but you actually should be doing something in addition to running. I learned the hard way had injured myself training for a half marathon. Most running programs call for cross-training days (usually 2 or 3 days a week). I say give it a shot and see how you feel!0

I wouldn't worry about that untill you start squating 100+ kg, maybe then you will want to plan better until that go wild. Do a couch to 5k or something.0
